Conservative peer Baroness Jenkin of Kennington has apologised after saying "poor people don't know how to cook".
Lady Jenkin was speaking in Westminster at the release of a report into the rising use of food banks in Britain.
The parliamentary inquiry - which she was part of - was set up to understand the extent and spread of hunger, food poverty and its causes.
Can you cook? My Chili Con Carne is legendary but then again I'm not poor.

It's a truth I adhere to, it comes from liberation of women from the kitchen in the council estates no one cooks for each other it's beneath everybody now, they would rather pay factory workers (europeans) to do it for them.

It also comes from people eating Boxed food that gets jammed under the grill rather than actually cooking something
My old man fucked off when I as a kid and my Mum had to work so Ive cooked for myself since I was about 10,not gastronomic marvels but enough to keep me alive

She is getting slated for this but its pretty much true.
Fast food restaurants survive by people like this going there and eating cheap food, they have become lazy and its an easy option for them.
Ill never forget a couple of years ago walking into a KFC and seeing this fat family sitting round a table scoffing chicken and chips and they were feeding a 6 month old baby chips dipped in gravy!!!

people on benefits moan about how they cant live on the money, but you see them eatingready meals or pizza every night.
a simple spag bol can be made easily on a budget. as could chilli con carne, chicken stew, cottage pie, homemade burgers etc, etc

"Decent fresh produce" costs a lot less than a shit takeaway!!!
For the cost of one Pizza or KFC, McDs etc... you could feed a family of four much better quality food possibly over 2 or 3 nights!
Problem is peo-0ple are thick, lazy and have got their priorities all wrong!
